A clear look at the method.
The source of a reading should be understandable. Here is what the system calculates, how the English prompts are selected, and what the results cannot establish.
A traditional timing system
The Python engine calculates a Qimen Dunjia chart using a selected rotating-chart and Chaibu convention. The requested UTC instant and a city’s approximate longitude are used to calculate a local solar clock. Seasonal boundaries help select the chart arrangement. This is a traditional symbolic framework; it is not a measured magnetic field or a scientific test of a person’s energy.
From a chart to a reflection
The current interactive tool selects signals relevant to five editorial themes and maps those signals to English templates. The overview compares themes to choose an area to explore and a practical check. Similar patterns can produce similar wording. Scores choose editorial emphasis; they are not probabilities of success or accuracy percentages.
The role of your city and sign
Your city supplies an IANA time zone and approximate coordinates from the GeoNames cities15000 dataset. We do not request GPS or a precise address. Your sign adds an editorial question to the overview. It does not change the Qimen chart, calculate planetary positions, or create a birth chart.
One instant, with its original date
A reading represents the moment it was requested. The displayed creation time is not a recommended lucky hour. The current tool does not compare all intervals in a day to choose a best time. A saved result keeps its original date. Near a configured hour or seasonal boundary, a nearby comparison may be available.
Current calibration limits
The solar-term calculation is approximate, and full comparison against a trusted set of charts remains unfinished. The October 2026 update corrects the yin earth plate, five-day grouping, and duty-door placement, but these corrections does not certify every chart component. Some advanced rules are provisional. Interpretations should be treated as prompts for reflection or entertainment.
Editorial and model-assisted pages
The journal contains general editorial exercises. Future published city reflections may use a language model to explain a supplied chart; the calculation time and local date will be shown. Automated text requires review before publication, and model output must not invent missing times, directions, or personal facts. Important decisions should use your real circumstances and reliable information.
